Introduction
There are several types of email services available at Osaka University, as outlined below.
If you are a faculty or staff member and wish to use an email address, please consider using the ICHO service.
Note: As of October 21, 2022, the ICHO service (which provides an email address ending in @osaka-u.ac.jp and access to services such as OneDrive) is available to part-time and commissioned lecturers. From February 1, 2023, it has also been made available to invited faculty members and invited researchers.

Faculty/Staff Account Application
OUMail is a student email service, and OUMail accounts are not issued to faculty or staff members.
(Exceptions may apply to instructors who need to teach students how to use OUMail.)
However, if either of the following applies to you, a faculty/staff OUMail account may be issued:
- You require an OUMail account to use the integration between the Course Learning Management System (CLE) and Microsoft Teams.
- You wish to use an OUMail account for educational purposes involving Osaka University students.
If you wish to apply for an account, please submit a request using the application form below.
