About Email Aliases
An email alias is an alternate address linked to your primary email account.
You can send and receive messages using your alias, just like with your main address.
Your mailbox (inbox, sent items, etc.) and settings (forwarding, filters, etc.) are shared between your primary email address.
(Reference) For more information on email aliases, see the IT terminology dictionary e-Words "Email Alias" (This link will take you to an external website.)

When signing in, please use your primary email address (Osaka University Personal ID@ecs.osaka-u.ac.jp).
例)大阪大学個人IDとしてu123456aを有する阪大 太郎(Handai Taro)さんの場合 【primary email address】u123456a@ecs.osaka-u.ac.jp |
If you want to change your email alias
Even if your name changes in systems like KOAN, your email alias will remain the same.
We will only accept email alias change requests under exceptional circumstances. To apply, please submit a request through the application form. To access the form, user authentication with your primary OUMail email address is required.
For example, if the email alias is “handai.taro.ab1@ecs.osaka-u.ac.jp”, the “ab1” part will not be changed.
